Environmentalists to complain in Brussels against CzechTek
(Czech News Agency, CTK, Prague) July 5th, 2006 - Environmentalists are preparing a complaint against a CzechTek rave to be held at the military training ground Hradiste in Doupov Hills in the vicinity of Karlovy Vary, west Bohemia, which they want to send to Brussels, they said. CzechTek to be held at military training grounds in late July

Man convicted over CzechTek complains about police brutality
(Prague Daily Monitor, CTK, Tachov) May 11th, 2006 - Jiri Ammer, who was today given a suspended sentence for assaulting a public officer during the CzechTek rave last summer, told the court that the police attacked him and beat him. According to the charges, Ammer deliberately drove his car towards a policeman and knocked him down. The Tachov district court gave him 12-month suspended sentence with an 18-month probation. Police caught on CzechTek video not to be punished
(Prague Daily Monitor, CTK, Prague) April 22nd, 2006 - Four policemen from Cheb, West Bohemia, who were involved in the police action against the CzechTek 2005 rave in Mlynec last July, will not be punished, the daily Pravo reports. A video shows four police officers knocking down a young man and beating him with nightsticks though he offered no resistance. The video shows one of the policemen kicking in the lying body. Last July, Czech police dispersed the CzechTek rave near Mlynec, west Bohemia, using water cannons and tear gas. Czech ravers protest in Strasbourg against violence

Raver denies hurling Molotov cocktail at police during CzechTek
(Prague Daily Monitor, CTK, Tachov - Western Bohemia) February 23rd, 2006 - A 25-year-old participant of last year's CzechTek rave party denied in court today that he hurled a flammable Molotov cocktail at riot police, arguing he merely lit a piece of cloth stuck in a plastic bottle of water and accidentally let go while waving it at the police. The young man told the court he was drunk at the time and the bottle simply slipped out of his hand. The raver's account was even corroborated by the testimony of one of the officers taking part in the police crackdown. Officer disguised as colleague during CzechTek crackdown
(Czech Happenings, CTK, Prague) February 23rd, 2006 - The Interior Ministry has recommended prosecuting a police officer who disguised himself as one of his colleagues during the strong-armed police crackdown against last June's CzechTek rave party, the daily Pravo writes, referring to information provided by a state attorney. Pravo points out the case is all the more serious because the offender wore his colleague's identification number on his uniform without the fellow officer's knowledge. Ombudsman: "Police overreacted to CzechTek rave"
(Czech News Agency, CTK, Brno) January 31st, 2006 - The police action at the July rave CzechTek 2005 in Mlynec, West Bohemia, was not adequate, ombudsman Otakar Motejl wrote in his report, pointing to the results of an investigation his office had carried out. The police did not use all means to resolve the situation without the use of force, he wrote. August 26th, 2005 (Bloomberg.com) The violent breakup of a Czech dance festival near the German border, which left 124 people injured, damaged the popularity of Prime Minister Jiri Paroubek and prompted nationwide demonstrations against police brutality. CzechTek 2005 proběhne legálně na soukromém pozemku se souhlasem jeho majitele.
Policie ČR tedy nemá žádný právní ani jakýkoliv jiný nárok tuto akci zakázat ci ukončit!

CzechTek 2005 will take place on private field legally borrowed by owner.
Police has no title to prohibit or stop it!

Budete-li přesto příslušníky Policie ČR jakýmkoliv způsobem bezdůvodně obtěžováni, pamatujte na následující:
• Vše pečlivě dokumentujte. Především služební čísla zasahujících policistů (ze zákona jsou povinni Vám ho sdělit) a jejich fotografie, poznávací značky policejních aut atd.
• Nekomunikujte s "pěšáky" - nic nevědí a neznají ani své kompetence.
• Budete-li k něčemu nuceni, nebo bude jakkoliv jinak zasahováno do Vašich práv či Vám budou ukládány povinnosti, chtějte vždy vědět, na základě kterého zákoného zmocnění se tak děje.
• Bude-li Vám sděleno, že "mají své rozkazy", chtějte vždy vědět, kdo rozkaz vydal. Komunikujte pouze s velitelem zásahu, popřípadě tím, kdo rozkaz na místě vydal.
• O všech úkonech Policie ČR vůči Vám si nechte vystavit kopii protokolu.
• V případě vstupu příslušníků Policie ČR na pozemek konání festivalu je upozorněte, že vstupují na soukromý pozemek, kde nemají co pohledávat.
• Nenechte si sahat na své vybavení či zvukovou aparaturu. Zákon o ochraně veřejného zdraví neumožňuje odnětí (vypnutí) zdroje hluku v případě zjištění překročení přípustných hygienických limitů hluku.
• Nedávejte Policii ČR jakýkoli podnět k zásahu. Nenechte se vyprovokovat ke zbytečným projevům agrese, na to policie čeká.
• Budete-li přesto zadrženi, nesdělujte policii žádné informace kromě jména, bydliště a data narození bez přítomnosti Vašeho právního zástupce.
• Nepodepisujte žádný dokument, jemuž nerozumíte, či který jste si předtím pečlivě nepřečetli.
• Policisté jsou placeni i z našich daní, připomeňte jim to!
